The Executive Director of Human Rights and Development Services (HURDS), Ms.Eva Ankrah, has participated in the official launch of the “Shifting the Power” Strategic Plan in Accra. This transformative initiative seeks to strengthen resilience, deepen partnerships, and build sustainable civil society organizations across the country.

The event was graced by the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, who serves as the Guest of Honour demonstrating government’s commitment to inclusive development and civil society empowerment.

The “Shifting the Power” strategy aims to reposition civil society organizations as strong, collaborative partners capable of influencing policy, driving social change, and delivering long-term impact within communities. For HURDS, this launch represents an important step toward amplifying advocacy, improving gender-responsive interventions, and building a more resilient movement for human rights and social justice.

HURDS is proud to be part of this national conversation, and Ms.Eva Ankrah’s participation reflects our continued dedication to strengthening our organizations and championing the rights of women, children, and vulnerable groups.
