Human Rights and Development Services (HURDS) has successfully held a stakeholder engagement meeting with key partners and duty bearers as part of efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and collective action in advancing gender equality in the Western Region.

The engagement provided a platform for HURDS to present its 2025 Annual Report and officially unveil its Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2030), marking the conclusion of the organization’s activities for the year.

Participants were taken through HURDS’ major interventions in 2025, highlighting achievements made in addressing gender inequality and contributing to the prevention and reduction of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) across communities in the region. The session also created space for reflection, learning, and open dialogue on challenges encountered and lessons gained in the course of implementation.
Beyond accountability, the meeting strengthened partnerships with stakeholders, reaffirming the shared responsibility of state and non-state actors in tackling SGBV and promoting the rights and wellbeing of women, girls, and vulnerable groups.

As HURDS prepares to enter its next strategic phase, the organization reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive collaboration, evidence-based programming, and sustained advocacy, guided by its newly launched strategic plan.
HURDS remains resolute in working with partners to build safer communities, influence policy, and advance human rights and development outcomes in the Western Region and beyond.
