The leadership of Human Rights and Development Services (HURDS) participated in the Civil Society Strengthening Programme (CSSP) Board Convening held in Kumasi. The event was hosted by STAR-Ghana Foundation and the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) under the theme “Resilient Leadership and Governance in a Changing Civic Landscape.”
The convening brought together civil society leaders from across the country to reflect, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches to leadership and sustainability within the civic space. Discussions focused on rethinking leadership models, strengthening governance structures, and advancing the #ShiftThePower agenda to ensure more inclusive, community-led development.
Speaking after the sessions, HURDS reaffirmed its commitment to community-centred and accountable governance, emphasizing the importance of empowering local voices in shaping development outcomes.
